Mixed Company of Yale Alumni

Welcome!

We are the official alumni association for Mixed Company of Yale, a coed a cappella group founded at Yale University in 1981 by a group of like-minded, zany singers, who loved singing and sketch comedy and wanted to practice it and have fun together. Over 35 years, a dozen albums, and countless tours and gigs, the group is still a major contributor to the vibrant a cappella scene at Yale.

Founded around the 25th anniversary of Mixed Company, and officially incorporated in 2019, Mixed Company of Yale Alumni Inc. (MCYA) is dedicated to further spreading the group’s sense of song, fun, and community through reunions, charity concerts, and support for the undergraduate group, as well as preserving the group’s memory and history for posterity.

In celebration of the Gump's 40th Anniversary, over forty alumni from across the group's history collaborated remotely to sing a Gump standard from the 1990s-2000s, "Seasons of Love" (arranged by Ben Eakeley '00 and Ted Gibson '10).
